Sexual Assault refers to any unwarranted sexual contact or behaviour received without consent. Sexual Assault is a current and often ignored issue within New Zealand society. Victims of sexual assault are often afraid to come forward and speak up due to shame, potential judgement and fear of the consequences of speaking up. This can lead to mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We aim to create a safe environment for individuals to speak up and raise awareness towards the issue of sexual assault in New Zealand.
